Well, I must admit that I do not tend to surf the internet in hope of discovering some news involving the man, however the news that I have just digested refuses to leave my memory this evening. Could it be because i am currently in a state shock? Or because i’m currently typing this whilst ‘Mysterious Girl’ gets played in the background of the programme I am trying to watch? Most probably the latter, but let me get to the point.
This week’s throwback Thursday belongs to Talib Kweli. After The US rapper and legend to hip hop took over my Twitter feed with the news that, according to Music Week News, he will be featuring on a track called ‘Fly Away’ from Andre’s ninth studio album, Angels & Demons.
Now personally, I am all for a shock collaboration like that. I wouldn’t say it fits as well as the Nas and Amy Winehouse duet, however I am all for experiencing new and slightly odd sounds. It would seem I am not the only one in shock of this news, after Talib tweeted: “Who is @mrpeterandre ? Him or someone from his team need to holla at me…”
Only time will tell…
