In the wake of yesterday’s news that Chris Brown broke up with girlfriend Karrueche Tran over his relationship with Rihanna, it’s only natural to wonder what Rihanna’s family thinks.
Rihanna’s dad, Ronald Fenty, spoke exclusively with In Touch about his thoughts on the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer, revealing he has “no problem” with Chris and Rihanna getting back together.
“I think everyone makes mistakes and they shouldn’t be held to them forever,” Ronald says of Chris, who assaulted the “Diamonds” singer in 2009. “Everyone should be forgiven once. There’s a lot more to Chris than the whole world knows.”
Ronald gushed about Chris being “super-talented,” mentioning that not only can he dance and sing, but the jack-of-all-trades also designs and draws.
“I love Chris, man,” Ronald admits. “He’s got so much charisma. And he’s always had so much respect for me. That’s what I love about him. He’s always shown me respect.”
So it looks like Chris got Ronald’s stamp of approval, which moves the former couple one step closer to dating again. Rihanna and Chris have been seen out and about together, causing speculation that their formerly toxic relationship may resurface.
“I know they love each other. They always have,” Ri’s dad admits about the pair. “She’s happiest when she’s around him, and as long as she’s happy, I am happy and the whole world should be too.”
Hmmmn…I think this is a bit of a guilt trip by Rhianna dad. He himself allegedly was abusive to Rihanna mother so its presumably natural that he would make these statements, right?
