I agree to some extent. When we build up the idea of someone in our head and the reality of them being less than perfect slaps us across the head it hurts more. We cannot be dissapointed about someone’s short falls if we didn’t care much about them in the first place but once we have built them up within our heads to be Gods gift to men / women it can sting to know reality isn’t quite as sparkly and gold plated.
